As members start voting in Labour’s leadership election today, it’s clear that they’ve learned nothing at all from their election defeat.
- Whatever they might say now, every single one of the would-be Labour leaders tried to make Jeremy Corbyn Prime Minister – endorsing his vision, worldview and ideas for Britain.
- They will never be able to bring the change the British people voted for. Instead, they are confirming that Labour are the party of the past – out of touch with the concerns of working people, on controlling immigration, managing the economy or ensuring people keep more of their money.
- Labour will just keep on refighting old internal battles whilst this Conservative government is getting on with improving our schools, supporting our NHS, tackling crime and taking advantage of the new opportunities outside of the EU
