Guto Bebb MP was pleased to welcome Wales Office minister Alun Cairns MP to Aberconwy.
Guto Bebb accompanied Alun Cairns, who was on a day long tour of thriving North Welsh companies, to visit the Church Walks Business Centre, a converted Church in Llandudno which is now a hub for high-tech companies. Among the companies visited were the offices of Stockomendation, a website that draws together top tipsters on the stock exchange and RISC IT Solutions.
"North East Wales is integral to the Northern Powerhouse. It is perfectly positioned to benefit with a raft of big companies - including a number of exporters - based here. I want to champion that and urge business leaders in the north of the country to come together and see how we can benefit from the opportunities of closer links." said Alun Cairns. He spoke as he and Northern Powerhouse Minister James Wharton met business leaders from North Wales and Cheshire. Alun Cairns and James Wharton also spent time with representatives from the North Wales Business Council and Flintshire County Council to discuss how to help boost North Wales’ economy.
Guto Bebb commented, “I was more than delighted to host Alun and showcase some of North Wales’ most dynamic businesses. The Government’s Northern Powerhouse agenda has untold potential benefits for businesses here in North Wales and I look forward to making the strong case for this ambitious project to be tailored to support businesses here in Aberconwy.
