Guto Bebb MP met constituents from Aberconwy last week who were visiting Parliament as part of the ‘Speak Up for Climate’ lobby.
Around nine thousand people from across the UK descended on Westminster as part of the biggest ever lobby on climate change. People from every walk of life, from anglers to bee keepers, surfers to doctors met their MPs to tell them about the threat to our environment as a result of climate change.
The campaigners from Aberconwy asked Mr. Bebb to do all he can to ensure warm homes for all, clean and safe power, that people and nature are protected and that the poorest in the world who are most affected by climate change are helped. The MP also heard about the importance of world leaders reaching an ambitious global agreement on climate change this year.
Guto Bebb MP said “I was pleased to see so many thousands of people taking part in this important lobby. The constituents I met from Aberconwy are passionate about the threat from climate change and I am very grateful to them for making the journey from Aberconwy to make their case.”
