Last April, Barclays Bank launched its £100m COVID-19 Community Aid Package to support vulnerable people and communities across the UK and globally, who had been impacted by the pandemic. These donations enabled charity partners to provide essential local support at a time when demand for their services dramatically increased while income was under pressure.
Although economic indicators seemed to be moving in the right direction and the banks are optimistic about the future, the effects of the pandemic are still being felt in our communities.
Barclays have recognised this and will be making a further 50 donations of £100,000 each, to UK charities who continue to meet the immediate needs of our communities affected by COVID-19. Charities in your constituency will be able to apply online through our 100x100 Programme page from 9am (UK time) on Monday 12 July, 2021, to 6pm (UK time) on Friday 6 August, 2021, with funding being made available in the Autumn.
